Seamax was founded in 2012 by former GE Capital executives who ran GE's $3.3 billion shipping and transportation business. The company was established to make and manage investments in the transportation sector. Our capabilities include fund origination and management in maritime and broader transporation related assets.

Seamax currently manages the MC-Seamax Shipping Opportunities Fund LP, a closed-end private investment fund focused on container ships. The Fund closed on September 10, 2015 and is currently in its investment period. Seamax's growing fleet consists of 10 modern, post-panamax container ships with carrying capacity of over 80,000 TEU. The Seamax fleet is deployed in major global trade lanes with the world's top shipping lines.
