Stamford, Connecticut – (September 6, 2017) —Seamax Capital Management LLC (“Seamax”) announced today that it took delivery of a 2005 built 8,000 TEU containership the Ever Charming.
The Ever Charming was acquired from German interests and was renamed the Seamax New Haven. The delivery of the Seamax New Haven expands the Seamax operating fleet to eleven vessels with a total carrying capacity of over 90,000 TEU.
“We are excited to take delivery of the Seamax New Haven and believe she will be a valued addition to our fleet,” said Cao Deambrosio and Ron Petrunoff, Managing Partners of Seamax in a jointly issued statement. “The ship has several features attractive to charterers such as AMP, or ability to utilize shore based power while in port, and we expect to upgrade her to allow transit through the new locks of the Panama Canal.”
