Stamford, Connecticut – (August 3, 2016) – MC-Seamax Management Limited (“MC-Seamax”) announced today that it took delivery of a 2005 built 9,000 TEU containership the Umm Qasr.
The Umm Qasr was acquired from German interests and continues to operate on a time charter with approximately 18 months remaining to United Arab Shipping. The delivery of the Umm Qasr expands the MC-Seamax operating fleet to 10 vessels with a total carrying capacity of over 80,000 TEU.
