MC-Seamax Acquires two 9500 TEU Containership Newbuildings – the Aisopos and Andronikos

Stamford, Connecticut – (September 2015)   — MC-Seamax Management Limited (“MC-Seamax”) announced today that it had entered into definitive agreements to acquire two 9500 TEU post Panamax vessels currently under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea.  The Aisopos and Andronikos are expected to be delivered in October 2015 and January 2016 and will enter into five year charters with Cosco Shipping.

The delivery of these two vessels increases the MC-Seamax operating fleet to eight vessels with a total carrying capacity of over 60,000 TEU.
