MC-Seamax Takes Delivery of the 8,200 TEU Containership YM Ultimate

Stamford, Connecticut — (October 28, 2014) – MC-Seamax Management Limited (“MC-Seamax”) announced today that it took delivery of the 8,200 TEU containership YM Ultimate.

The 2007 built YM Ultimate was constructed at Hyundai Heavy Industries and commenced a four-year, fixed-rate time charter with Yang Ming Maritime Transport. (“Yang Ming”).  The ship is the second vessel to be chartered by MC-Seamax to Yang Ming and expands the operating fleet to five vessels with a total carrying capacity of over 40,000 TEU.  According to the Managing Partners of MC-Seamax, Cao Deambrosio and Ron Petrunoff, “The acquisition of the YM Ultimate will further increase our contracted revenue stream, enhance cash flows and dividend paying capabilities, and strengthen our relationship with one of the premier liner companies.“

A spokesperson from Yang Ming added, “Both companies are pleased to complete this transaction and continue to expand the relationship with each other.”
