MC-Seamax Takes Delivery of 8,000 TEU Containership OOCL Shenzhen

Stamford, Connecticut – (May 5, 2014) – MC-Seamax Management Limited (“MC-Seamax”) announced today that it took delivery of a 2003 built 8,000 TEU containership the OOCL Shenzhen.

The OOCL Shenzhen was acquired from OOCL and immediately entered into a three-year time charter with OOCL.  The delivery of the OOCL Shenzhen expands the MC-Seamax operating fleet to two vessels with a total carrying capacity of over 16,000 TEU.  According to the Managing Partners of MC-Seamax, Cao Deambrosio and Ron Petrunoff, “This is the first of a two vessel transaction with OOCL, one of the premier Asian based shipping lines.”
