MC-Seamax Takes Delivery of 8,000 TEU Containership OOCL Long Beach

Stamford, Connecticut – (May 12, 2014) – MC-Seamax Management Limited (“MC-Seamax”) announced today that it took delivery of a 2003 built 8,000 TEU containership the OOCL Long Beach.

The OOCL Long Beach was acquired from OOCL and immediately entered into a three-year time charter with OOCL. The delivery of the OOCL Long Beach expands the MC-Seamax operating fleet to three vessels with a total carrying capacity of over 24,000 TEU.  According to the Managing Partners of MC-Seamax, Cao Deambrosio and Ron Petrunoff, “Securing a charter with such a solid operator such as OOCL was key to completing this transaction.”
